knock (something) down

Definition: to demolish something, or cause it to fall to the ground.
(This phrasal verb has more than one meaning)
E.g.1: The building was so old and damaged that they had to knock it down.
E.g.2: If we knocked this wall down we could turn these two small rooms into one big one.
This phrasal verb can be separated. (E.g. 1 & 2)
