Definition: to unite in order to fight or argue against someone. An informal expression.

E.g.1: I hate it here. I feel as if everybody is ganging up against me. No one ever has a friendly word for me.
E.g.2: Street gangs develop when one group of people gang up on another group.
This phrasal verb cannot be separated.
